“I paint to sell so I felt anger over the lock-down. I was supposed to have a solo exhibition in Raleigh at A Place at The Table soon after the Stay-at-home order was issued for NC. What a bummer! I had been so excited that I was chosen by Imurj to fill that restaurant with my art. Covid-19 stole that opportunity from me, but there was nothing that I could do about it. I’m not an angry person although I felt anger at first. I had to try to find a way to be happy in spite of the situation. Red can be a color of anger/rage. Red can be the bleeding of a heart. Red can be the euphoria, giddiness, or joy of wine, or a break-out. Yellow brings a glow and happiness, a new beginning. Lilac and green top it off. It gave me joy.”
