Wiley used a variety of techniques to apply the acrylic paint to the canvas's surface. He has experimented gradually more recently with a rubber band attached to a pencil to create these textural thick strokes of paint. He remembered learning this sometime ago and wanted to revisit this. He also used the sponge to carve out these gentle but gloomy cloud like elements to the atmosphere. It's a gentle sense of gravity.
